The CSUN Conference is finally HERE!!
California State University Northridge Center on Disabilities' 27th Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference launches this week in San Diego. For those of you who have never heard of or attended this conference, it is a great event to be a part of! It allows diverse visitors and consumer facing organizations to become more involved in assistive technologies, while providing education on how society can benefit from wider deployment of these technologies. The event is sure to be enlightening for all that attend.
The Conference is taking place in downtown San Diego, at the beautiful Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, Feb 27th through March 3rd. This is CSUNs third year in San Diego at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, one of the most accessible hotels in the world!
You might be asking yourself; what does this conference entail? Well that is a great question!
The CSUN Conference is one the world largest and longest running conference’s of its kind. It focuses on assistive technologies and how they have a positive impact on persons with disabilities. It showcases cutting edge solutions that remove barriers for all types of disabled people seeking to keep up with the ever changing world of technology. Over the past 26 years this event has attracted over 4,500 people annually!!
Throughout the week there are numerous activities that will be held at the conference. Not only are there free exhibits that allow people to browse around and visit different exhibitors that demonstrate the advancement of available technologies, but there are workshops, seminars, open forums and much more. The exhibit hall opens on Wednesday and is filled with an impressive selection of technology and equipment for persons with hearing and vision disabilities. This is an excellent conference to attend for anyone who is interested in learning more about assistive technologies, as well as for businesses that would like to improve their accessibility to those with disabilities. It is a captivating experience that you should not miss!
